Worth. It was a term thrown about as carelessly as the slips of green paper most mortals used to exchange favors. Before they covered the earth, the concept had meaning. I was worthy of the title of God-King because I had earned it through the blood of my opponents. Now the proclamation only cause the mortals to laugh.
A joke. Wesley once said that the creatures laughed at jokes. That jokes were funny. The fact they found me to be one was offensive. They used to quiver at the thought of me, but now they see me as an object of amusement.
It was a sentiment I would have to change. There was once a time that a being would through itself into the depths of an ocean before they refused a request I had issued. I had done more for those primitive things of Wolf,Ram, and Hart's than they would acknowledge. I had fought to their favor, I had granted them the right to their measly lives. They were in my debt. Yet they continued to view me as a vile being, the destroyer of their lives.
Disgusted with the company of such creatures, immoral slugs with as much honor as swine, I made the decision to travel the worlds as I once had, avoiding the dominions that appeared to be filled with my kind. This shell was still a disadvantage, and I was loathe to have them view me in it. I even resorted to visiting the dimension made entirely of shrimp, finding it to be even more tiresome than before.
I returned to the dimension I had awakened to in the end. I was intent on studying the rules of this new period, even if Winifred Burkle would not lend me her aid. I spent days of the human calender observing the beings. They were like blind mice, newly born. They spent all their lives buried deep in the warmth of their nest, too frightened to explore the world around them. Most of their habits were unfathomable, and I was unable to tranlate them into actions that I could comprehend. I watched them, but they were pure chaos, their actions sending them spiraling into entropy and madness. I even visited one of the sites the muck congregate, in an attempt to make sense of them. The floor shook as if the earth caused it, and they writhed like worms in a container. It was another ritual Wesley had failed to explain, and it irked me. In the end, I could not bear the raucous noises emitting from the far wall, and left.
I resigned to returning to the wolf, ram, and hart's dominion. It was the locus of the city's action. The most interesting event I had witnessed outside was a mishap with the transportation system. I entered the building, in an attempt to find something to capture my interest.
