I finished another book and then decided I needed a reading icon, but of course I needed options, so I made a bunch! I picked my favorite, but there are 17 more under the LJ cut.

So my latest reading conquest is
Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. My mom and I are big fans of hers, hence the two books I've read by her in a row. This is her newest book, I didn't think it was nearly as sappy as some of her books and had some great scrutiny on religion and it's formal definition. Anyways, my review of the book can be found
here, on my LibraryThing. It comes highly recommended, as it's one of my new favorite Picoult books.
I went to Barnes & Noble again yesterday (I know, I'm bad) and bought a bunch of books:
The Double by Jose Saramago,
Slipping into Darkness by Peter Blauner,
Slow Man by J.M.Coetzee,
Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay (on
jujuberry136's rec),
Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult, and
The Thing About Jane Spring by Sharon Krum. I was going to buy some more on Juju's recs, but Mary Roach was not on sale and only in hardcover. They didn't even have Agent Zigzag. I'm going to get a library card for the town (as opposed to the school) library and I'll get it out of there. All in all, the total was about $7.50 per book, which is pretty good, no? I've gotta stop though, or they're going to take over my room... Not sure what I'm going to start next (although I should probably finish
City of God by E.L.Doctorow...it's just...depressing). Also, two of the books I bought were on my 1001 Books list, so yay!
Then I went and bought an iHome and a 750GB hard drive (on sale!). All this because I'm mad they couldn't find what was wrong with my car and everyone else is graduating without me (stupid engineering). I went to the VW dealership to get my car fixed, the book store, and Best Buy (an 80 mile round trip) before noon yesterday.
Now I'm going to eat, clean, do some work, probably read some more and then Allison and I are hopefully going to Rita's later for gelati!
Happy Sunday!
