Real life is grand yet v-relationships are unique and worthy too. I find a balance of both makes for a more well-rounded introvert, but of course that's probably just me.

I recently posted something similar to your thoughts and it was bugging me who I’d read awhile back that could relate.
Found you! ...much much later apparently.

I have mixed feelings that crop up once every couple years given wonderful past experiences.
These involve memories of junky old 2-D BBs where everybody posted thoughts and works religiously yet still managed to live.
Real conversations were had even, and not a titch of it was live.
LJ was like that once to some extent, but even at its peak it floundered for interaction and feedback.
Knowing this I have occasionally considered Facebook or some such for the simple pleasure of gaining greater e-interaction.
Yet, I have never been serious about it because my impression is these places cater to fluff heads and inanities.
The truth though, such sites could become beautiful if people bothered to bring the creativity and v-articulation with them.
At the very least a place could incorporate more content, depth, and thought through one's select personal group.
I guess it all depends upon what you and those you know are willing to bring to the table.
There are after all no rules that say one has to post only a few lines or talk about the lack of ketchup for their hot dog.
