When the makeup was put on and my hair wasn't finished I was super scared. "Oh God, Goth kid", was all I could think. However, when they finished my hair and got me in the dress it sort of came together. Omg, when the photog showed me how well the pics were turning out I was amazed. The black made my blue eyes POP. I will also give Michael that it was very 60's esque, but it didn't seem like it.
I know ye cannae see the dress so well, but it was LITERALLY right out of the 60's. I guess James, the photog, his family owns PARIS in Roak and they were at an estate sale and this lady who had bought the dress was from the south of France. She came to the States and actually bought the dress in New York to wear to her Homecoming. Michael, the salon owner, just happened to have awesome silver jewelry lying around. The dress was mid calf (which, btw, is HELLA short for me as I loathe skirts and dresses) and made of that grey with silver woven into it (ITCHY) material. It zipped in the back and was a turtle neck. OMG. Srsly. Crazy shit. You could see my white bra through the dress, and the only other one I had with me was black. The makeup artist just happened to wear the same size bra as myself and have a nude bra on. ...yeah. Most def an experience.
Everyone seemed hella happy with the end result. All I kept hearing the whole shoot was how good I was, and beautiful, and gorgeous. ...My head got a little big. I will admit though, I was photographing very well from what James showed me. I think it's just that we had a great team and everyone clicked and worked well together.
So yes, I am soo excited to see the end results. I will *of course* post and show everyone as soon as I get them. I think he said I get prints too.
|EDIT:|
I swear I was in a happy mood too, I know I'm not all...smiley. Michael also put highlights in my hair. I can sorta see them. I'm also super geeked 'cos my payment was a chai and some kick ass Bed Head hair paste. *is excited to do own hair tomorrow*
