It was Mom & Dad's 21st anniversary yesterday. 21 years. It's pretty amazing, especially in today's world. I love them both so much.
But, enough of the sappiness. After Mason and I went off galavanting through Gurnee, I went over to Megan's. We went to Blockbuster to rent a movie, but she doesn't have a card and I forgot that I gave my copy of Mom's to Dad, so we had to detour back to my house, then to Blockbuster.
We had a coupon, so we ended up renting
Life as a House and got
I Am Sam for free. Both were good. Both were sad and depressing and somehow had uplifting endings. But, man, "Life as a House" is a weird movie. It's like, normal up to a point, and then there's all this weird crap thrown in, like adults sleeping with children and showering with friends and guys feeling up boys in a Lexus. Weird, I tells ya.
"I am Sam" was a terrific movie. Everyone was awesome in it (Toby! hehe) and I fell in love with that little girl. She was absolutely the adorablest! So smart and sweet and spunky. So glad the ending didn't bum me out.
So yeah, I got home at 2:30 AM. I saw exactly 20 cars from Megan's house to mine, which wasn't a lot. I even had my brights on for the majority of the ride, and it was all foggy out.
Tomorrow, I'm either taking the boys to Lindenfest or with Sam and her bro to the Japanese festival. Haven't decided yet. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to go to either, considering I woke up and had somehow twisted my knee in my sleep. I can barely walk on it! So much pain, and while I was sleeping?!? How'd that happen?
Also, before we went to Blockbuster, Megan and I learned that there are either 30 fly eggs or 2 maggots per can of tomato sauce, and many, many more disturbing things about bugs being in our food (I'll never look at pasta the same way again). All I can say is EW!!!! And Ick!!!!
I am so in the mood to write, and I'm so in the Early Edition mindset (the
EE Convention is only 15 days away). I'm so excited about going to the convention. And I so want to be writing now. Now, dangnabit. And I want to make a website.
For the record, I also want a job and lots of money. And many other things, but those are most important right now.
