I'm reaching the age where I can't sleep in on the weekends.
What the hell?
I stayed up til 1:30AM. And yet I was up before 8. What? WHY?!?
Life has been progressing nicely. Plans are in motion, dates are tentative at best but I'm looking for the horizon and that's a start. I've really been missing London lately. I can't wait to go back to visit. I wish I could live there again. Someday. It's just so far away from my family. And I love my family.
I've been writing a lot. Stories and scripts. Still have trouble finishing things, and for some reason I'm not in the mood for complete sentences today. I've also been listening to new music. I love new music. Also I love the Drive's A-Z week. They started Weds 9AM (I've been listening at work) and they're already on "I."
This week was a good TV week. Psych was an awesome change of pace. James directed the HELL out of it, and Tim deserves a freaking Emmy. Colbert had his brother on the show on Thursday AND did The Da Colbert Code! Burn Notice was particularly enjoyable with the bank heist. Monk was depressing but compelling. How is it Psych's finale already next week? At least the ep looks amazing.
I had my informal 90 day review yesterday. They like me, and I'm glad. I might even get a pay increase in March, though in this economy I'm not holding my breath. I'm just grateful to have a job.
I finally got my eyes examined. And I was right - they'd gotten pretty bad. New prescription, but I could only afford the glasses for now (the contacts will have to wait a while). Damn it's expensive. Maybe I should start considering Lasik... there's just something about lasers and my eyeballs, though.
I'm really looking forward to buying a car. I have my heart set on a Suzuki SX4 crossover, but it's hard to find used ones (automatic, as well, because I'm not going to bother with stick).
The wedding tonight will be weird. Like a mini high school reunion - not really appealing. I'm trying not to find it depressing that my brother is my date and my parents will be driving us. At least there will be an open bar.
