Sweet MacBook Dreams
After eating my sandwich whilst watching Colbert sing with Crosby, Stills & Nash (how lucky is he?!?), I went for a walk in the humidity and ended up at the Apple Store.
I've discovered why they're always soooo busy - people use it as a free internet cafe! Seriously, people were on facebook, checking emails, etc. Ridiculous.
I did finally get a chance to play around a bit with a MacBook Pro. It is pricey (obviously I will buy it in the US in $, but still...). Having said that...
I want a Mac!
It is LOVELY! The one I used had FinalCut Pro on it (that costs about $1,000 or $2,000 more, I believe, so it'd be Express for me), which made me miss editing. Plus, they had Sims2, which I miss. And the computer is so light and doesn't suffer from all the ailments my Vaio does (this could also be because it isn't 5 years old). Oh, but it's so lovely. I'd even settle for a regular MacBook, but I might just have to get the MacBook Pro. Why not? With 40k of student loans hanging over my head, plus a new car to buy, insurances, etc, I don't plan on being out of debt any time soon. Might as well have a shiny new laptop so I can write about a world where I'm not poor.
Speaking of poor, for some reason I thought payday was tomorrow. But it's today!! Thank Sweet Jesus. I can finally top up my mobile (my balance was -£.24).
Okay, that's enough for now. I'm going to go try to be productive.
