a couple a quick things
so, just a few little things tonight.
hung out with mahnaz vaillencourt this evening. i mentioned her in an earlier post. that wonderful invitingly warm type, who is really quite nice to spend several hours sharing stories with. we had chrismas pudding. yea, sure, it's not so much christmas time, but, then again, Baha'is don't really do the whole christmas thing. so, i guess that means we get to have traditionally christmasy things all year 'round, right?
i must say, what the british didn't do in their meals, they did in their deserts. and that would be: make them rather interesting. i won't say that all english food is boring. i just haven't had a traditionally english dish that was surpizingly exciting, and the report from many other people i've met, neither have they. however, the deserts i've had have all been rather nice, and this christmas pudding was no exception. gingery, raiseny, cakey, and covered in custard. not so sweet that you feel your teeth rotting as you eat, but also not plain at all. a very nice, warm, treat. add to that some persian tea (i thought it would be cool to be all international and all. we were having a british desert in slovenia, why not have a persian tea with it?), and you have a pretty nice desert, all in all.
now, i want this couch. don't think i'd trade in my bike for it, but i would take it to work. no idea where i'd park it, exactly...
and, i like zombies and all, but this is just kinda creepy.
