So, I am nearly 3 weeks into my new job. I still have not "warmed up to" it yet or the people there, but I try to fit in as best I can. The pay increase is nice. The additional dollars to my paycheck are noticeable, but probably not enough to put a dent in how much gas I'm using just to get there and back (42 miles, roundtrip). So, it can be said that I don't really like it much but am going to try to stick it out at least this summer, until I can start the CNA stuff. I paid the deposit for the course last week and now am just waiting to hear back from them telling me when I can register, which I presume will be after my background check is completed.
Bryon and I went out to eat 2 Sunday evenings ago to the Macaroni Grill to "celebrate" our 2-year anniversary, after I was off from work, and went to Graeter's afterward for icecream. Was delish. He briefly mentioned going on the Star of Louisville in a couple weeks or so, some weekend when we both happen to not be working. I would love that, and it's exciting that he would even suggest it in the 1st place. I've mentioned before that it's something I'd like to do someday, but he didn't really seem interested. Hopefully he sticks to his brilliant idea.
School is going to be somewhat of a bitch this week--had an exam in Comm115 today which was extremely easy; tomorrow I don't really have any obligations in any class, but have to work that evening and study for my Psyc344 exam on Wednesday, and on Wednesday, I'll be studying for my Soc301 exam Thursday, and Thursday night, I'll be preparing for a presentation in Comm115 for Friday. And sometime between today and Friday I must get my DL renewed because it expires 3-31-07.
So, my mother has not beaten me with her prayer flag as of yet, but I wonder if she'll be stuffing it in her suitcase for her trip to Texas next month. She'll be gone for about a week, and this time she's not taking any of the cars with her, so if she decides she wants to stay down there for infinity this time, she's kind of stuck.
Yesterday I planted a bunch of irises and freesias, despite the warnings of my mother that there could be snakes lurking nearby and to watch out for them, because even little ones can have a lot of venom. Hopefully my flowers will bloom. I love flowers. They're pretty.
