My mother needs help, part XXIV.

So, I was just sitting at the computer playing Solitaire, minding my own business, when my mom comes barging into the room.
"Do you have your window open?"
"Yes."
"Well, you need to go close it right now.  It's dark out."
"What does that have to do with anything? You are SO paranoid."
"Anyone could get in as long as you've got your window open as wide as it is.  It would be different if you just had it cracked about 3 inches or so, but not all the way like it is." (as if one of these imaginary "anyones" that she speaks of couldn't get a window that's cracked 3 inches open the rest of the way!)
"Yeah, I'm sure there's at least 20 people out in the front yard just waiting to climb in and steal all our worldly possessions."
"Probably not 20, but one is all it takes."
"I'm sure that one person is slitting the screen right now."
"They could be.  One thing you have to realize is that there are crooks in this world that will take advantage of a situation like that.  If they think they can take a knife and cut a screen to get into a house and rob it, they'll do it!"

I gave up and went and cracked the window to about 3 inches.  There is no arguing with that woman when it comes to robbers, car-jackers, hi-jackers, murderers, rapists, kidnappers, anything she perceives as dangerous, or anything involving God.

But seriously... WTF???!!!
