in which my summer collapses

So, I heard from the financial aid office today.  Despite what I'd been told, I do not actually qualify for work study for the summer.  So, despite working all of July and planning to work the same job in August, I will not be paid.

I'm broke.

and jobless.

And I'm freaking out.

Shiiit. I do believe it would be illegal not to pay you, but grr.

The job I'm working is 'unpaid internship unless student qualifies for work-study' so, yeah, loophole. But, they decided since someone told me at the beginning that I was eligible (which, according to federal regs. I am) they would give it to me. Apparently Harvard has this additional policy that incoming graduate students, despite federal eligibility, are not eligible for work study.
