So, I asked people to give me something to write about. They said "something." So, that's where I started from. It's cheesy and rather bad, I think. But, none-the-less.

Something
Anything
Everything
Nothing

I need a handle
Something to grab fast
Before whatever’s next
Takes me far from landscape I recognize

I need a base
Anything to keep me grounded
Foundation, sturdy, real
To keep me from floating away

I need a support
Everything to be in place
Give me friends and lovers and family
So I don’t feel so alone

I need myself
Nothing more and nothing less
Truth and sincerity and realness
Else I’ll never know who I am.
