welcome back...
i'm in my dorm, finally. it was an awfully long process this time around: i didn't have a lot of time to pack, i freaked out when i realized i didn't have everything i needed last night, and i moved my new fish tank and my established fish all down in one day.
needless to say, it was a little stressfull. the fish added most to it. i don't know what possessed me to try and move everything at once... or why my parents went along with it. so far it looks like they're doing okay- they survived the trip with my parents (even though the rams were incredibly stressed out after. the danios... they could care less. they were happy as a clam in their little bags), they survived moving into the new tank that was hastily set up, and their colors are just beginning to come back. it's surprising what those little guys can take.
the tank does look nice though =) happy early christmas to me (the tank, a 28 euro, was a present from my parents. it's my christmas present, but early because they thought this was the best time to move it. i'm extremely excited about this new tank. it's really my first decent sized tank! i just don't get a christmas present now, which i'm okay with.)
as for the rest of my room... res-ed didn't screw me over (yet). i don't have a roommate (yet). [please don't let me jinx this] though i've decided my room would be extremely difficult to do a double in. why? there's no wall space! it's all taken up by two doors, a huge radiator, and two full walls full of permanent bookshelves. my bed is in front of the non-working fireplace (aka the middle of my room) and i don't know where else to put it. if this were a doouble, you'd have to BUNK the beds. not just loft, but bunk.
oh... there is one great part to this new room of mine: i have double furniture. because it's supposed to be a double (but, hopefully, won't be). now... you would think this is good? more room? no. it's bad. I have no where to put all this furniature, and like i said, it doesn't all fit in here because there's no walls. and we have giant wardrobe things too here...not closets. and our asshole RA said that i can't move any of it out and res-ed won't take it. fuck him. this is not staying in my room.
but yea. on a lighter note... all is going well. i'm halfway unpacked and half organized. at least i have lot of shelf space...
