cocoa and berries.
it's getting late, but i'm still sittting with a cup of cocoa intertwined between my finger tips, raspberries caught between tongue and cheek. i was reading about peace a moment ago. veterans for peace. it's ironic what we go through to discover "the silence of peace," as he put it. then he kept going on about something or other, and I can't remember what it was about after that. but as i repeat that phrase, all i can think of is chocolate and berries, lovingly mixing and mingling, kissing tastes in my mouth.
maybe that's what it's all about. something quiet, touching us in ways we can't imagine. or maybe it's sparked by the words on the page that we can't understand till we feel it in our own mouths. either way, i'm thinking i should buy more raspberries soon. they're becoming essential.
