spring semester...

i go back sunday. i'm slowly getting my syllabuses from classes through email. getting assignments and books needed. and now, i've volunteered to write a story due on the 23rd for my advanced fiction class. god, i hate how i feel the need to volunteer for everything my professors (that i like) ask. but then again, it's an extra 1/3 letter grade and what else do i have to do over the next 13 days?

which means... i guess it's time to start hitting the book. the journal, that is, because i need a story idea. and it's not going to appear out of no where.

suggestions? comments? intellectual jumping points? please. it'll help.
