i watched television on a school night for the first time in weeks.
it was better than sleeping.
i sound like a child, running around before bedtime screaming for just one more episode of sponge bob. sponge bob could cure the world of insomnia- no one would care if they didn't sleep anymore. television could take it's place. a world full of drama not our own. we don't have to understand. we don't have to make the choices. we've more control over our nightmares. we're just allowed to guess and watch.
we're even supposed to guess wrong.
that's the beauty of irony. we can be wrong and no one will care. in fact, they'll compliment the writing. the skill. the careful attention to detail.
it lets us forget our lives. let's us forget what we need to live. it lets us live without ever touching life. that's the beauty of modern technology.
