Day 17 as Nursing Student
0607 - Left home; traffic was terrible; 2 wrecks; thought I'd never make it on time for clinical
0720 - Arrived at K-- Hospital; last one to arrive but glad that I was there on time. Orientation to the hospital; filled out a whole bunch of paperwork throughout the day; worked on eMar on computer (which took forever); toured the units in a scavenger hunt form; met some of the unit staff; practiced vital signs on machine
1245 - Lunch; post-conference
1323 - Left hospital; homeward-bound to get gas for my car!
My allergies are acting up today. It's always been extremely mild to nonexistent since I was a kid. Now for the past couple of days, I've been so groggy, drowsy, and sniffling. At several times, I couldn't even breathe. I'll blame it on the change of weather. Thank goodness for Benadryl.
