only some nine months late: all the pretension i thought i'd moved on from, with bonus abuse of the tag and unexplained timeline-AU premises! this is not what i wanted to write, since it is nothing new, but by now i am not sure i could write anything else

An excellent return to Maloki, familiar and disquieting. The vignettes are, as usual, brilliantly conceived and executed, but am ashamed to confess that I fail to grasp the central thread.

you're too kind. ^_^;; and ahaha, no worries re: the central thread, it wasn't clear at all. i was mainly giving loki a slower and more roundabout trip from asgard to midgard than the one which occured at the end of the manga series, and the vignettes are possibilities of pasts and futures which didn't happen. the whole bit with the spring is about hvergelmir, but i confess i included it mainly because i wanted a parallel with lethe. ahahaha man this all looks even sillier once typed out. this was really the most opaque and self-indulgent thing i've ever written, which i figured i could get away with since it is in theory my last maloki fic evertm.

because i have nothing to say and no real inclination to say it! which was the case even before this fic, alas; thus the self-indulgence, in a bid to keep my own attention while writing it. i could just as well ask why you, alas, are no longer writing much fic...
