[fic] zerosum games (are not the only sort), Death Note

Apr 01, 2007 16:24

i decided not to bother with the chess terms or even the math, because i am lazy and not intellectual enough. like some 20-odd percent of all death note fic, this is set during the handcuff months. who needs originality, anyway. :\

i apologise for the overuse of parentheses. it made sense at the time!

Hee! I like that - L making up percentages just to screw with Light's head.

eheh, thanks. unfortunately, i can't claim credit for that -- i think the mangaka said as much in an interview somewhere, probably in HTR 13? ^_^;;

*wibbles and melts* Janice, have I ever told you that I love your writing stype? Because if I haven't, now's a good time.

The interaction between L and Light feels very IC, the dialogue just exactly right.
(L messing with Light's head seems to be de rigeur for any DN fic.)

eheh, thanks! i'm glad you think so; i kind of wish we'd been able to see more of the handcuff-months interaction in canon.

( it is only fair. L deserves to win. ;_; )

L preferring igo makes a lot of sense (and appeals of course to my inner Hikaru no Go fan). ^_^ I really enjoyed reading this; I like the way you develop a story in such short vignettes (from my experience, it's not such an easy thing to manage).

hee, glad you think so! light seems much more the chess person, to me. and thanks for the kind comment; i suffer from an inability to write in anything but short vignettes, so i'm glad if that works out somehow. ^_^;;
