antagonists with significant power and responsibilities, whose philosophy/worldview is fundamentally different from that of the protagonists, but who aren't actually seeking to undermine them and in fact may rely on them to an extent. yes.
(that also means that shinjuurou = natsume and inga = madara. i am okay with this. :| )

i also need to write a casshern sins fic titled the undiscovered country, but i don't think i can take rewatching 26 episodes of robot angst any time soon.
