You know, I keep looking at Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor, and I just can't get used to him. Now, keep in mind, I'm way behind on watching - I'm still back in S3, in fact, since I don't have cable and have been buying the DVDs as I can afford them. So maybe he really is good when you watch video. But for some reason, I look at all these stills from S5, and he just looks like a big kid playing dress up.
Then again, I've had moments where I have hated David Tennant as Ten as well (because he will occasionally break character and start fanboying himself, or at least the character he's supposed to be playing), so it could just be I have an instinctive dislike for anyone who is not Christopher Eccleston in the role. *shrug*

Apparently, with the latest WoW patch and the introduction of RealID, battle.net has developed a gaping hole in its side when it comes to account security. Shawn's account was hacked about 2 weeks ago, a fact we only discovered two days ago. The guild bank was stripped bare, and his characters are missing all their gold and gear. He's currently in the account recovery process.
My account is also undergoing a hacking attempt *right now* - I hit refresh on my email just as the password reset notification came through. I did a password recovery and reset it, and the hacker attempted the same about a minute later. I've changed the password on my battle.net account twice in the last 15 minutes, and I also changed my email password just in case. Hopefully, I caught it fast enough that the doofus responsible wasn't actually able to log in to my WoW account. Unfortunately, I can't check until I get home.
This actually marks the second time my account has been hacked in the last year - the first time being last October, just before the switch over that required all players to sign up for battle.net. Someone attached my WoW account to their battle.net account and had a ball emptying the guild bank, deleting a couple of my characters, selling off my stuff, and using my DK to gather stuff and sell it. I had the last laugh that time - I got 100% of everything back, including the deleted toons, they leveled my DK for me, and everything they farmed with my DK was mailed back to me as well, so I made out like a bandit in the end.
It's looking like Shawn may come out better for the deal as well - they attached his account to an authenticator, which means he now has a free Core Hound pup.
This entire experience has pissed me off, though. I know damn well the accounts weren't compromised on our end, as Shawn and I both run scanning programs weekly to check for keyloggers, as well as being scrupulous about what we download and never sharing passwords with anyone, even each other. Which means Blizzard is dropping the ball during development and leaving security gaps.

For those of you who don't know yet, I have now joined Facebook. I sort of had to for work. If anyone here wants to friend me, it's under my real name. If you don't know my real name, send me a PM. :)
Don't worry, I'm still here on LJ - Facebook is not friendly to fan fic, and so I'll still be getting my fix here.
