at least i understand the reasoning behind this one...
soooo dream sequence:
i was a soldier in a war. but it looked like it was just a very large yard somewhere. and we were in tents, but we DID have an actual building somewhere that we slept in. anyways. So people started shooting at us, and we fired back and stuff, but this girl i used to work with named Heather was there, and she got shot in the neck. Somehow i had miraculous medical skills and managed to stop her from dying, although as far as i can tell i just put my hands on her neck to stop her from bleeding and squeezed. so then we were back in the hospital part, but heather turned into Laine. so Laine was in the hospital with bandages on her neck. but she was released pretty fast, and we went back to the room where everyone's beds were and struggled to find two beds together. but we did! yay us. and that's about when i woke up.
now, this normally would have freaked me out, but since i just finished reading Catch-22 and a lot of this kinda shit goes down in it, i get it. but it's still a really unpleasant dream to have.
