oh boy, i think i'm just gonna spill em out in anecdotes, cuz there's a lot say! in no particular order:
the japanese kid who lives with the camus family (my host family) thinks the english word for homosexual is "gaysexual". should i correct him? cuz that's hilarious.
i went to mont st. michel yesterday. it was not that great. it's of course beautiful from far away but the abby had nothing to look at or to read or to learn from, just crappy old stone walls and one statue. then, on your way out of it, there are like forty tourist shops and cafes. it ripped my soul out one step at a time. then we went to st. malo, which is on the north east coast of france, and it has beaches and neat local stores....the bus ride to mont st michel is 3 1/2 hours from angers, so we were on a bus for 7 hours total yesterday...had to get up at 6 and meet at 7am....then got yelled at by a tour guide for talking too loud, which in my opinion was quite the exaggeration because there were lots of people in the room at the time who were talking, but he wanted to deride the american youth...."UN PEU DE SILENCE S'IL VOUS PLAIT, CE N'EST PAS UN CAR!" (a little bit of SILENCE please, this is not a bus).
well, anyway, i can't complain too much. every other french person i've encountered has been very nice and accomodating, and i am refusing from here on out to speak any english. YAY! go me. i miss everyone!
