ughhhhh i am so freaking annoyed. joel made a credit card payment on the first of the month. and then a couple days ago he gets a call.
credit card people: we're charging you a $40 fee for being late, and we need our payment now.
joel: i made the payment on the first.
credit card people: well, they payment bracket didn't start until the 3rd, so that payment doesn't count toward this bill.
joel: i paid off half the balance. are you seriously penalizing me for paying my bill early?
credit card people: yes. we need this months payment.
okay. so, this is the first time EVER that he's had a "late" payment. which isn't even late. they doubled the apr rate (not on the existing balance, only on new purchases. which doesn't matter, because that card is almost completely paid off and we don't add things to it.) but still. doubled after one late payment. and now this is going to go on his credit score. wtf. credit card people are assholes.
