Pre-Christmas fun

Alright, enough's enough. I've procrastinated an entire week, it's time to post this.

Last Sunday N and braved the hordes at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland again. We got there early enough in the morning that the crowds weren't overwhelming yet but by the time we left, it was starting to be difficult to move.

Still, I had fun. I love market, even when I don't end up buying anything, or don't even plan to buy anything.

Abandon all hope, etc.

Lots of booths had sthese, so far from unique, but still pretty.

I bought a few carved Christmas tree ornaments from here.

I didn't realise these were a thing outside Russia.

An amber house! N had to drag me away from here.

I actually hate marzipan, but the piles looked really yummy.

Afterwards, I saw
christycorr again. She was in London for some pre-holiday time before jetting off to France for while, so we met up at Forbidden Planet to help me find a secret santa gift for a coworker. Naturally they had all sorts of amazing stuff, but with a budget of £5 and having spoken to the guy maybe twice, I was mostly clueless on what to buy. I finally decided on some ninja-shaped cookie cutters, hope his kid at least gets some amusement out of them.

Shopping done, we headed to a nearby Byron for some burgers. Lunch was so much fun that I didn't want the day to end there, and invited
christycorr over to our place for some tea. We ended up talking for three hours before we realised how late it was, and it was the most fun I'd had in ages. N was really taken with her as well, even if we mostly talked fandom. Seriously, I don't think I'll ever tire of repeating how good it's to talk fandom with someone (although plenty of other topics sneaked in, too!)

We'll hopefully see each other again after Christmas :)
