We finally got to see Green Day's American Idiot (the musical) at Hammersmith Apollo on Sunday. And I really mean finally - I booked the tickets on January the 5th!
I'd been looking forward to this for almost a year, and it was everything I wanted it to be. Brash, loud and perfect. Poor N hadn't bothered to actually listen to the album beforehand, so I don't think he was able to make heads or tails of the lyrics, but he said that he was able to follow the storyline anyway.
As soon as it ended, I felt like a little kid at carnival, wanting to walk back to the end of the queue and go again.
