I'm going to see Adam in November!

I didn't post about him coming to Finland because I didn't want to jinx anything in case I didn't get a ticket (considering he's doing such small venues) but I did get one!

Barely.

The tickets came on sale at 9 on Friday, and five minutes before that I was sitting on my computer at work, frantically refreshing the ticket seller's website. At 8:58, between one click and the next, the event went from "not yet available" to "fully booked".

I was livid and took out my anger on the browser, furiously refreshing the site just so I wouldn't start throwing things around the office. After a couple of minutes, totally out the blue, suddenly a "book tickets" option appeared, where previously only the "fully booked" had been taunting me.

So I booked my ticket and then immediately clocked out and went to pay and retrieve it. I'm a card-carrying worrier and there was no chance in hell I was going to just trust the fact that they had my reservation.

The ticket was for pretty expensive for such a small venue (50 euros, 65 dollars), especially considering where the gig will be. Kaapelitehdas is an old cable factory and in no way designed with acoustics in mind.

But it's Adam, coming to Finland, and I'm pretty sure I would've paid double the price to hear him sing in a garage.

adam, events, music
