where have I been????

AAAh!!I've abandoned you, poor journal! I've been so busy lately I just don't know where to begin. Lets see, I will start with this. I took a much needed one week cruise to Freeport in the Bahamas the first week of August, and since that trip my whole life has changed. I'M A HAPPY GIRL, YES I AM!!! Okay, let me explain that. So I'm at the Bahamas with one of my best guy friends, Chris (from Atlanta), and we are walking along Port Lucaya, which is a popular place in Freeport with restraunts, music, shopping places, etc. As well as the beach right behind it. Beautiful, romantic place. Romantic, but I had no intentions of meeting anyone. I was there with my guy friend, and we planned on living it up and partying our butt's off. Well, they say love sneaks up on you when you least except it, right? VERY TRUE!!! Although if you told me that before then, I would've laughed and said "yeah, whatever, its never going to happen to me." Okay, so back to the story. I'm walking along Port Lucaya, and I see this guy. I've never just looked at a guy like I did him. I took one look at him and its like, I had to meet him, like my life wouldn't be complete unless I got to meet him. Crazy, huh?? Well, with as much pride as I had, I kept walking, but cracked a grin to him, as he was also looking at me. So I walk on, thinking I'd probably never see him for the rest of the vacation, got a drink with Chris, and then both decided we should walk down to the beach to check out the sunset. Guess who was on the beach. THE GUY! At that time I still wanted to say something, but I just couldn't, not me! So I smile again, and Chris and I left. Bummer, dude. Okay okay, now here is the part you want to hear. Here we go walking around again, Chris and I, and we walk past a restraunt with a seating area outside. He was sitting out there! By that time I had told Chris about this mystery guy, and that I wanted to meet him, so Chris suggested that he go talk to him. I told him no way! Because, thats just something you don't do anymore. So we turn back around and walk by him again "I explained to Chris which guy he was" and right as we walked by Chris goes to the guy "Hey dude! My sister here thinks you're really hot, wanna let her sit with you guys!" The guy grins and blushes and says "sure, come on!" and pulls out a chair for me. I, with my face as red as the beet, sat down, and tried to act as cool as a cucumber. He introduced hiself as Jared and his friend, Annible. They were there for the same reason Chris and I were, in fact they even took the same cruise ship. Jared and I had a lot to talk about, and found out we had a lot in common. He lives in TN and his dad works in Warner Robins as a contractor. We hit it off well, had a few drinks, and decided to walk down to the beach. It was nightime and there was a reggae band playing, the stars were out, and we sat upon some rocks as the ocean waves hit them. We there shared our first kiss, and I believe thats the moment I just totally fell for this guy, I hardly knew, but I felt like I'd known him my whole life, or rather I've been waiting for that moment my whole life.

We spent the rest of our vacation together, and came about 3 drinks away from eloping (are you crazy, Amber doesn't do the eloping thing)! He and I decided, we had to keep in touch. And we did :) Now, a month and a half later, I'm more in love with him than I have with any guy ever, and its great. I flew to TN 2 weeks ago to spend labor day weekend with him. I got to meet his family and go to his church and I loved all of them. What a beautiful weekend. Okay, so I'm in love, and possibly found the man of my dreams. Can that be true so early in my life??? It was fun while it lasted, being the single girl, but now, its time for something new, and this is exciting!! Okay, so you've heard all of that now, I must leave, but not for long! I promise not to abandon you like that again!!!
