Wow!

I read something today about prophecy being "hidden" in the book of Psalms.

Jesus said:
"all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me" (Luke 24:44).

In Psalms it says this...

Psalms 49:1-4
1Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

2Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

3My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.

4I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

What I read next was awesome!

Psalms 48
1Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

3God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail

I underlined what was important. The Bible talks about the nation of Israel becoming a country(born) in one day. Well in 1948 the U.N. did allow Israel to become a nation in one day...but here's the kicker

what is the chapter number?
48...what book in the Bible is Psalms? 19

1948.

*stunned*

I am going to read and study this some more. This is really cool stuff if it continues through-out more chapters. I wonder if it speaks more of Israel's return as a nation.

Oh and in Psalm 91 many say it describes the 1991 war against Iraq. It contains such an uncanny view of scud missile attacks, that CNN, the New York Times, and Time Magazine reported that Psalm 91 had become the favorite talk among the soldiers during Operation Desert Storm.
