I have a hard time feeling terribly bad for Derek in relation to Scott given the fact that he took Scott's chance to be cured from him last season, jsyk. You know I'm not going to defriend you for Teen Wolf, but do you think you could back up off of him a little? This is kind of what I was talking to you about in chat. Scott is like Harry from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang to me, dumb but fun. I can't not love him, even though he's stupid...
To be fair, I don't think Scott is trusting Gerard as much as feeling like he has to do what he says given the time Gerard stabbed him outside the hospital and said he'd kill his mother if Scott didn't do what he said at some point when he called in his favor.

Yeah, I get that. I wish he'd at least have warned Derek or asked for his help instead of lying about wanting to be in his pack. I am not a big fan of the "keep all the secrets!" as a plot device though. It just never works out when you do the bad guy's bidding, you know?
The thing is, do we know that the deal with Gerard has anything to do with Derek for sure? Or is it all about the Kanima? Because the Argents knew Derek was tracking it (given the rave), so Scott joining the pack could even be about getting info on that, with killing Derek a bonus, along with Allison going all killer on the wolves. And if that's the case, I don't think Scott would see any reason to warn Derek, PLUS like the doc said, they don't trust each other - so no reason Scott would ask him for help. I agree with you that the secrets plot device isn't great, but to be fair, Scott isn't some great strategic, broad thinker - he could feasibly (and stupidly) think he had it covered and everyone was safe.
