I just saw footage of animals stranded during the hurricane. They were talking about how a family had to give up their puppy cuz the shelter they were going to wouldn't let it in. A camera crew took the puppy in. I never thought of pets having to go through a disaster. Most of them are now lost and can't find their owners. They showed a whole bunch of animals swimming for their lives or perched on top of roofs and stuff. I am so sadened...I think it makes me even more upset than the humans trying to survive this. Is that wrong? I think some how I feel like the people could have left when they heard of this, but the animals really are shit up a creek cuz they didn't know it was coming.
