It's overrrr~! ...I'm a little sad since it's been so long now since I finished the series myself I can't quite revel in this as I feel I should, hehehe. As to the ending... ( Cut for last chapter spoilage )
Off*Beat sounds interesting, so thanks for directing me to the Fr version. (I strongly encourage those interested in Fr to get into manga. The sfx, not to mention exclamatory humour, are pure awesome. It's also all right to be interested in boys stalking boys, but that's a topic for another time. XD)
And since you said, I'll recommend anything by Matsumoto Taiyo and Fukumoto Nobuyuki for both reading and scanlation! Excellent. ♥
IT'S FINE. TORY'S INTENTIONS ARE PURE at first. Anyway, he's pretty adorable as stalkers go. So smart...and so lacking in vital areas of self awareness. HMM. ABE?!
Oh! I see that first one is the guy who did Tekkonkinkreet? I liked that movie and keep meaning to read the manga. Oooh, and another sports manga writer. Thank you for the suggestions, they look interesting!
Ah, the manga's much better, but the anime's farther ahead. The series gets better are you go along, like um... not was great as ES21, but good nonetheless and basically my only decent football series. XD
Maybe I'll just do the manga then. (Any certain point chapter/point in story where you'd say it gets particularly better? I tend to be a skeptic with things and quit early, so it's always helps if I know if I just haven't been going long enough.) Anime versions are always just so shiny, so they catch my eye first...and often I tend to like them less...only for some reason the shiny still makes me look. *shakes head* ES21 I watched an episode or two and found to...zany for me, at least in what I saw, heheh (which I can like in some ways in small doses, but for a long series it doesn't hold me as well).
Ah, no, ES21 anime is quite terrible. >> It's like a One Piece filler compared to canon. I can't remember exactly, but I found GK became more enticing around episode 3 for the anime (but <3 was around ep 5/6ish); the manga, around the end of volume 1/beginning vol 2.
Uchuu Kyoudai sounds the best.

Yes, Matsumoto-sensei! He makes sports amazing. Ping Pong (there's an excellent live action) and Hanaotoko are a couple of my favourite series.
Oh, and sports manga/anime! Try Giant Killing. So absurdly suggestive. And anything by Morita Masanori. Seinen dressed as shounen (sports/comedy).

I see people fangirling over Giant Killing on my flist, hehe. I've got the anime downloaded, but I've yet to watch it. But someday, someday...
