[ENCODING: RESTRICTED. PRVT HOUSE ACCESS ONLY - NO RSS FEED]

We got back this afternoon and I gave Mr. Ramses my room so he can rest. Earl went up to the attic to shed the rest of his paradox and I had him help me with mine. He is the first person to see the quilt I've been working on. I pulled it out of gun locker that I "borrowed" from Daren. I keep it in there because I have no idea what will happen if someone actually uses it as a blanket. I have a good idea though.

Each patch is a scene...a memory of how I attained some sort of paradox. I bleed the paradox out into the quilt when I make the patch. It's only 9 squares so far but I am pretty sure with the accumulated memories therein...it's probably enough to kill someone should they try to sleep under it.

With my silver arm, it was difficult to sew the preliminary patch but since I would actually be bleeding matter into the patch this time, I needed to wait until Earl was finished with his own before I asked him for help with mine. My intention was to create silver thread with which to do the quilting... not only on this patch, but the entire thing. I just didn't have the skills in Matter to do so... and he did.

He asked what the quilt represented and I told him. By his expression I could see he was a little surprised I would come up with something like this. Thing is, I'd never intended to use it, but there are always circumstances where it might come in handy. Honestly, I don't know what I'm going to do with it... other than keep it under lock and key til I figure it out.

I got most of the silver out of my system... all but for my fingernails. They are all silver and are kind of pretty. Who knows... maybe it will keep me from chewing my nails! Of course the fact that they would do what Earl calls Aggravated Damage to a werewolf... makes me think it might be a paradox trait I can learn to live with.

Until you scratch Marcus' back in the heat of passion and he eats your head.

I see the ID is back. As if there will ever be a moment of passion with Marcus. In his own words he said, "That's it." Since I haven't heard from him since...so I can only conclude...that is truly "it".

He'll be back.

To what? I'm sorry... but I'm fresh out of bikes... he'll just have to throw ME down the street.

Anyway... I now have silver nails. OOh Retro-scary. Silver nails were in the LAST time I time-traveled back. Who knows...maybe I can restart the fad?

I went downstairs and Naomi handed me a sandwich. I hugged her and told her I was glad to see her. She hugged me back. Apparently her extra time with Daren helped. She seems to be a little happier. After a while she excused herself to go upstairs to check on Daren and I took time to return a few phone calls, one to Blake Chesterfield, my attorney. He briefed me on the court case, which was dropped when the dash-cam aboard the police cruiser was requested. When the footage was shown to the judge, they case was dismissed against all of us. That was definitely good news. Also there were some things I needed to sign and we made arrangements to meet the following day at the academy to do so. When I hung up, I went in to talk with Doc for a while.

We were looking up recent events that Icon had found noteworthy: A strange disease that was effecting big cats and hyenas, a strange neurological disease that effected humans making them think they were seeing all kinds of strange things like vampires and werewolves. I guess that's how the scientific community was explaining the sudden awakening of Hunters.

We both heard movement upstairs and figured it to be coming from either mine or Daren's room. That's when I realized I really needed to shower. Out camping I guess my nose was desensitized to it, but standing over Doc (who had just showered) as he read the screen... I felt the need to excuse myself to go do the same.
