New Year's Eve
almost everyone is at a party, dancing with their lover, rocking their child to sleep or out walking.
Maybe they are like me, looking for the finally embers of a dying year. Waiting for something to break.
The truth is, I will be content come midnight, something I have not been in quite some time.
Even if it's not a full life, there is a lot to be said for life itself.
My brother is alive, Pedro is still alive, my sister will give birth to her 9th child in mere days..though it's been trying, how can I be anything but hopeful?
I hope wherever you are, this message finds its way to you...
May all the days of all the years of your life be kind to you..but more importantly, may they teach you something, and may you always remember that you can never learn everything there is to be taught....
