a beautiful day for punting

Jul 09, 2005 17:25

So today was incredible. 8 of us went out to the river and tried our hand at punting. The weather finally cleared up, and was about 70 and sunny with a breeze. The atmosphere was incredible, and besides the drunken Brits who splashed us at the end, I felt like I was in Eden. It was really difficult for me to get the hang of punting at first, we were just going around in circles. My second try though, I really got it, and I even parked us on the return. It was truly an incredible experience. Tonight we are taking advantage of the beautiful weather and going for a picnic in the University Park, the very park the river runs through.
