Edinburgh, Scotland

my poor travel mates are probably sick of me hunting down internet cafes, but it keeps me in touch with home and wards off the home sickness.

We made it safely to Scotland this morning via train instead of plane due to luggage weight limits. It was really neat and we got to see the country side. Lots of rolling hills, ocean, and sheep. I've also seen several border collies. It is absolutely beautiful here (about 70 degrees).

Edinburgh is gorgeous! All the buildings are so old and gothic looking. The Scottish people are so so nice. They have gone out of their way to help us when they see us looking confused and have helped us with buses. They are a lot more friendly than Londoners. The place we are staying at is right by the sea. The atmosphere of the B&B is so much better than the place in London.

When we arrived there were literaly bagpipes playing and echoing over the green rolling hills and castles. There were men walking around in kilts! Now that we've left London and the Underground I have had to face the bus system. A little confusing, but I think I'm starting to get it down.

We went to Edinburgh Castle today and got to see the Stone of Destiny. It was so cool!

Tonight we are going to wander down to the beach and see the sea. Not much time left now...

Thanks for the continual comments. They remind me of home!
