back to the grind.

Feb 29, 2004 23:35

its raining cats and dogs outside and i am back in my dorm room. class is in session at 9am tomorrow, and as the minutes are fast approaching midnight, i am suprised that the majority of people have not returned. i discovered this week how much i like not having any responsibilities. i did work 4 days and edited a lot, but i also spent a lot of time getting in touch with my playstation2. i spent some time with the family and witnessed a major family fued involving all 5 of us and a few other miscellaneous items found around the house. dad and i tried to go see The Passion this morning at 11:15, but they were all sold out until 10pm. such are the woes of living in the bible belt.

so, here is a quick summary of my break....

caught a sunset while getting supplies for the mardi gras party.

mardi gras with friends, family, and drunks!

mark day spent eating sonic at the bass pro shop, pottery painting, and monjunis!

josh and becki stopped in today to say hi!

tonight was oscar party night with a bunch of really nerdy guys that wrote their own computer program to tally and keep track of who thought what was going to win. the food was delicious and the conversation positively delightful.

and now i feel like this.

"theres a kiss at the end of the rainbow
more precious than a pot of gold."
