another weekend has passed swiftly by
so this weekend was a lot of fun. went to the crew banquet in Mickle Friday night and accepted an award for holding my bladder for a record 4 hours on the way to our last regatta. Also looked at some pictures and ate some spagetti. Afterwards Mark and I spent some time digging around in the $5 DVD bin at Walmart then headed to Barnes and Noble. I finally spent my gift card on some classics that I've always wanted to read, but who knows when I will have time.
Saturday I picked up Outback spent some quality time with dad and the dogs. It was a lot of fun and good conversation. Dad got a new digital video camera and a DVD burner that hooks up to the TV. mom got mad at him for spending so much money. I think it rocks.
Saturday morning I sat at the Crew booth for the organizational fair. one of the perspective student's overzealous mothers proceeded to tell me that her daughter used to be on the swim team but quit because she wouldn't wear tampons because tampons would take away her virginity. holy cow. what close minded civilization was she raised in?
Saturday night I went to see the play. Phillip put on a scary performance, and the whole thing was very intense. And guess who sat in front of me? no other than the tampon family. at one point in the play one of the guys drops his pants and exposes his whitey-tighties. the aforementioned mom quickly covered her eyes and sunk down in her seat. sheesh.... But the play was great, go see it if you get the chance.
