Last night mom and I met up with Lori and Jill from work and their husbands to go for sushi and see the Goo Goo Dolls at the Horseshoe River Dome!!
Being the long time Goo fan that I am, I donned my 1999 concert shirt and excitedly got to the show. The Riverdome is a small venue, so there is no bad seat in the house. The only problem is that it is connected with a casino, so all the high rollers get tickets in the first 10 rows. Unfortunately (I guess), I don't know any gamblers. And all the people who get those tickets just go to go and aren't real fans. Thus, they all end up sitting down while all the real fans get pushed to the back. Not only does it disappoint the fans, but the bands as well. Mom and I have both heard several bands comment on it. Last night Johnny Rzeznik said, "thanks for making this a great show, well some of you anyway."
So we were row 14.
But that's ok, because the show was amazing! They played all their hits and really rocked out. I had so much fun during the show. And at the end, the body guards finally stood down. Mom grabbed my hand and pulled me up to the front and we got right up near the stage (oh how I wish I could have been there the whole time!) But we did in the end, and it was so so so so worth it!
Here are a few of my pics from the end of the show:
