Trying to readjust to the madness that is school and all that it entails. My classes are going to either whip my reading and writing abilities into shape, or kick my ass. ashlie and i both bought the wrong sociology book, so we spent over an hour in the library making copies of different articles we have to read. i have 3 very feminist teachers. don't get me wrong, i love them all and am interested in feminist ideas, but the estrogen levels are off the chart. this should be an interesting semester, full of very interesting and liberal ideals.
good news:
1. the have real grilled chicken in the Caf. (not the crappy processed stuff).
2. school food makes me eat healthier...after all they took away the bluebell and the ground beef makes me nervous.
3. i've been doing 8am work outs. its great... there is NO ONE else in the gym to watch how funny i look when i run and do other physical activities. the best part is leaving the gym at about 9 when the weather outside is indulgently pleasant.
bad news:
1. i can't feel my toes or fingers due to the sub-zero temperatures of the dorm and class rooms.
2. i almost got in a fight in german the first day. when we said where we were from AND what our major was, the girl behind me made a noise like she was disgusted when i said both. i turned around and asked her what her problem was (something very uncharacteristic of me, but highly likely when i'm tired with pms). she shut up and started screwing up her German. phillip says i should be nice to her and kill her with kindness... yea, right.
3. my 3 hour class went OVER on the first day. i wanted to yank out my hair.
back to German now, and to confront the only confrontation i've run into thus far.
