some exciting things
I went and saw Collateral this weekend with Mark, Matt, and Susan. It was great! Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise were very, very good. I highly recommend it.
Susan and I went to the mall Saturday. I bought:
2 Bras from Victoria's Secret and 1 pair of GAP jeans. I spent $120.00 total on these 3 items. Now, this is not normally my style, I am very cheap. However, my old pair of GAP jeans finally fell apart after a few years of everyday use, and no other jeans fit me quite right. And, any woman can back me up on this, bra shopping is the devil. Once you find a bra that actually fits, you have to buy at least 2 of them (or you will always regret it). And so, I did. I am very excited, this is the first time I've really bought myself something indulgent (yet practical) all summer! Additionally, I firmly believe that you should be able to spend at least half of what you spend on books on yourself.
only 2 days of work this week and then i'm going to a regatta in Tennessee.
P.S. Did you see Olympic Rowing? Holy cow, I was enthralled.
Also, for those of you who are late nighters, Water Polo is also very amusing. imagine 10 men in speedos and bonnets trying to dunk each other while treading water, all over a floating yellow ball. looks like a drunk frat boy sport. highly entertaining.
