work and work
i suppose its time for a real entry. i'm the only one on the floor at work right now, everyone else is downstairs in a meeting, so i'm reveling in the solitude. i will have been working here a year tomorrow. this should mean that i get a review, but in a company that doesn't want to spend any money, the prospects are grim.
not too much going on. just marking the days until i leave for the beach, despite the fact that the tropical depression in the gulf has probably blown in all the sharks and jellyfish. ah well, i can still enjoy the sun and the time away from work. susan is going to be down there at the same time, right down the street! i am oh so very excited! the 10 hour drive with my siblings is going to be the real pain of it all. time to load up my MP3 player.
went to the gym yesterday. it was packed, i saw the kids that live in town as well as some crazy professors. my arms are quite soar today, but i'm headed back in an attempt to prepare myself for rowing in the fall and to drop some pounds. i'm sure my fellow rowers will appreciate my effort.
back to the steady work of the day. 1 hour until lunch!
