(no subject)
as promised, the post graduation update.
shannon's graduation was tonight, and it was rather entertaining. all of the valdictorians' speeches were MIA and cynthia almost had a heart attack. there was a clown in full regalia in the audience, there was a woman in a bright blue brides maid dress from the 80s, complete with matching shoes, and the whole show was over in an hour. i saw some old faces, but most did not see me. i did run into christy mariel (yes, she's still alive and graduated too!) she looked different with short hair and bangs but seemed to be doing well.
after that the whole famdamly went to Olive Garden. dad drank lots of wine and tried to stuff about 10 bread sticks in his mouth, and we all laughed about old memories.
afterwards dad and i went gecko hunting at his store. he wants to increase the population of them around the house b/c they eat mosquitos. so there he was a 220+ lb man with a fish net jumping up and attempting to catch scurring geckos around the eaves of his store on E70th at 9:00 at night. very unique i assure you. we ended up with 2 out of 12, one with a severed tail (that was wriggling in my dads hand) and toted them to the house in a plastic fish bag. so now there are at least 2 geckos in our oleanders, but i don't think either one will do their general population much good.
and what of the rest of the time? well books and computer games and movies suit me just fine. oh i love summer.
