Booyah!
Here's a short update. I'm working for a supermarket that my brother works at. I'm working in the produce section, which is really easy, and I get home at 8-9 PM, which is MUCH better than getting home at 11-12 as I have been at the buffet.
Also closing is very easy. All I have to do is sweep and mop the floor, and turn off the lights in the cooler, and that's it!
At the buffet, I had to do everything - clean the back area and cooler, put all the food on a cart and haul it to the other end of the building (where the cooler is), clean the bars, fill all the holes with crocks (buckets), sweep and mop the floor, clean windows, and oil everything. THAT'S why I had been getting home at 11-12, because I had so much crap I had to do and I had to do it all alone....and almost every night for a year, too!
I also got my first paycheck - $96, which is not too shabby! I'm working for $5.55, unfortunately, but I heard that I'll be getting raises much easier working for this company than I did at the buffet. And speaking of them, I also have one more paycheck to get from them before I'm officially done with them! (Woot!)
