(no subject)
So about my little post yesterday...I feel the need to tell the whole story...I was setting on my bed yesterday evening just before five, working really hard on a paper that was due today, and my roommate walks in and says, "I have to get something off of the electronic reserve, can I use your laptop right now?" and I am like, "um...I'm kinda in the middle of something..." Now, that question would have been ok if Melanie was like blind, but since she isn't I was thinking, "why the heck is she asking to use my laptop, can't she see that I am working on a paper?"...but then I said, being the nice roommate that I am, "I'm going dinner probably around five, you can use it then." and since it was like ten minutes before five, and she had all fricken night to retreive what she needed off the internet, I didn't think it would be a problem...but Melanie said real snotty-like, "I guess I'll just have to wait, sigh." I ignored her remark and continued to work on my paper...but then right at five o'clock she turned to me and said, again real snotty-like, "It's five"...and I ignored her...but then right at five eleven she feels the need to remind me of what time it is again, yeah and that was the last straw, I turned to her and said, "Melanie! This is my computer and I will go down to dinner whenever the heck I want to..." and I said a whole bunch of other pretty little words, letting out everything that I have pent up the past month or so...and then she proceeded to get really defensive and immature and whinny.
I am afraid that this thing might turn into a vent journal. I might have to change its title...
"Amber's First Year at College: Stories of an Idiot Roommate" or something like that.
I am at work right now. I love this job, its a little lonely, but that gives me plenty of time to do homework. Actually I think I would still like the job even if it didn't give me time to do homework, I kinda like reshelving the books, checking them out, knowing how to use the complicated copy machine, and being able to help ppl use the nifty online databases.
