(no subject)
So I have a job in the library now, and yesterday was my first day....and it just so happened that I was the only one working the desk last night. I don't have a clue what I'm doing! but I think its fun anyways because I get to scan the barcodes, and stamp in the due date...I feel like Marian the Librarian.
I'm going to a movie tonight...which is really kind of a big deal because I am going to have to travel a distance of like thirty miles to get there! Everything is so spread out around here....u really kinda need a car to do much of anything....but hardly anybody has a car, so nobody does much of anything. In fact, the place to be on friday night is the Super Wal-mart in Lexington....and since the school's entire population is lds, its not like ppl are gettin jiggy with each other in the closets....well, maybe they are, and I am just still out of the loop.
So...my biology professor is tryin to talk me, and all other freshmen, out of taking her class. hehe...she doesn't know what I'm capable of! Didn't I live and breath biology my junior year of high school?
French is a tad overwhelming, considering the fact that I have never taken french before. All I can pronounce right now is, "oui", and "et toi?"...the professor speaks so frickin fast.
My roommate's name is Melanie...she's from Chicago...she can be a little spastic at times...nothing that is too much of a problem, but she does these meditation exercises during the day....she lays on her bed, closes her eyes, and after awhile, lifts her hands together and starts to vigorously tap each of her fingers.....I don't know...it must be relaxing or something...it looks more like she is performing an indian ritual or something...or maybe speaking in some sort of special sign-language code......I'm trying to take this lightly, she really is a cute girl....her desk is extremely messy, but she's really nice. I guess, time will tell how good or bad of a roomate she is.
