The subject of my most current madlove is an odd one - the hero/anti-hero of Snow White: A Tale of Terror. Two things to know about this movie:
1) It ain't the Disney version. This is a dark, extremely creepy tale much closer to the original Grimms version.
2) It has a delightful, squeeful romance that gave me hope that my heart of/for romance isn't dead after all.
This Snow White adaptation stars Sigourney Weaver as the evil stepmother/witch and is a much more adult look at the story. Overall, there's not much amazing about the movie - it has a lot of horror elements and I don't usually like horror. Howeve.r
HOWEVER. It was the Lili/Will pairing/romance - aka Snow White and her "prince" that caught me, trapped me, whirled me up in the kind of squeeful loving that I haven't experienced for a long time. Seriously. It's a bit of Robin Hood, a bit of LOTR perhaps, and a few other things - but mostly just sheer adorableness. This post will be all about Will, who is EXACTLY my favorite kind of romantic hero - very rough around the edges, sardonic and bitter, with a heart of gold underneath. *sigh*
My next post will trace their romance. :)

Our first real look at him: the rough outlaw. Observe the intense gaze.
Warming up: his eyes betray him, they're direct and tender
Our second real look at him: saving her from being raped. SQUEEEEE!! and yes, no clean-cut, clean-shaven prince here.
All men should be required to wear open-necked white shirts...walking toward her and looking at her. It's heating up in here.
Being sardonic and threatening when he actually wouldn't hurt a hair on her head...
The rain scene - WHY aren't there more caps of this?? :( and where's the rest of it?
Tortured...deliciously
His miner look.
Looking at her. AGAIN. seriously, he gives the BEST we-just-met-but-I'm-attracted-so-I'm going to smolder at you anyway-looks
Lily?? Where are you?
Mm. sexy rogue. Robin Hood, anyone? Could someone please subsitute HIM for the current BBC Robin Hood? Oh, I love the dude, but he's too boyish and immature most of the time. Where's the dark brooding, the compellingess?
*Smolder* *tortured* Who needs a prince when we've got this guy?
It's amazing when he smiles - look closely at the creases it makes in his face.
Rainsoaked, grieving hotness anyone?
Okay. I should stop here.
