Well, The Prestige trailer is out, for those who like magicians and/or Hugh Jackman/Christian Bale you can watch it
here. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the second movie in six months that Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johanssen have starred in together, the other being Woody Allen's Scoop? I love both of them, but to be honest I don't think they have a terrible amount of chemistry, and I am definitely against that kind of repetitiveness, at least in this movie. I don't want Hugh Jackman to play again the sort of clueless, good-hearted, but in the end ineffectual type of character he did in Scoop, I want something more along the lines of Wolverine. Nor do I want Scarlett playing again the sort of concerned-but-not-passionate love interest that she did in Scoop-I like that movie but it has it's flaws. And it looks like maybe they will.
Also, 25 essential songs: I only have a few but unfortunatley wouldn't know how to upload them even if I did. I'm sure I could figure out sendspace but as I only have about two of these, having heard the rest on Rhapsody, I can't be bothered.

Also, my Yeats selection of the day, from Before the World Was Made;
"Why should he think me cruel
Or that he is betrayed?
I'd have him love the thing that was
Before the world was made."
I love that-not to love all the surface things, personality, looks, body, background-but the thing 'that was before the world was made'-the deep innner being in all of us, quite apart from all the outer, visible things-what you might possibly call a soul, or our heart and soul and mind combined, that being apart from the world. I wish I could be loved like that-for that-deeply and surely, with the outer, added things just a bonus, what we interact with and know daily but all the while knowing and loving that seperate, individual person inside.
