Halfway Done
NaNo's half done, which means it'll only be another two weeks or so until your friends list can start talking about something you care about again. :)
I didn't quite finish the book tonight, but I'm within spitting distance, and encouraged that it'll be at least a little longer than I'd guessed. I had to sit down and scrawl a short outline so I got an idea in my head of how I wanted to choreograph the last few scenes. Endgaming, it's nerve-wracking.
Just hit 35k, that means it's time to quit and go to bed.
It's a weird year. I've never been so steady at getting the word count, but I have absolutely no idea what I've written, and I don't feel at all panicky, but not particularly excited either. Could be a byproduct of praying over this dumb book every couple of hours.
