Ha-Ha
I'm back from vacation, and oh my gosh. It was both more fun than I expected and much, much more horrible.
Good things:
-Seeing godgivensmile and his wife was delightful. They are excellent hosts, and I had a fun and comfortable time. Huzzah!
-Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown were all more interesting than I expected. Huzzah!
Bad things:
-Heat index of 116! Huzzah!
-Grandmother had a fainting spell from dehydration! Huzzah!
-Misplaced my deodorant by Tuesday! No one else smelled nice enough to notice! Huzzah!
-My car broke down, was fixed to the tune of $200, and broke down again, and this week I have to front hundreds of dollars for a rental car! Huzzah!
-Yes did I mention that we walked around in the punishing heat for hours at a time every day for five days? Huzzah!
-Huzzah!
I'm going to go to bed and cry now. Will detail the fun parts (and, well, heck, the bad parts) when I haven't just driven six hours.
